For bar owners and managers
Fill the slow nights.
Answer from your phone.
Chapters and clubs already spend this money. Right now they spend it over Instagram DMs at midnight.
Tables n Tabs puts your sections, tables and bar tabs in one place students actually look. A group picks a night and sends a request. It lands in your email and in your console. You approve or decline from your phone. That is the entire product.
You stay in control of everything
- You set the price, not us
- You tell us your minimum spend for each night and what you add on top. A Sunday is not a Friday and a game day is not either. Nothing is listed at a number you did not give us.
- You approve every booking
- Nothing is confirmed until you say so. If the balcony is already committed, you decline with one line and the group is told immediately.
- You choose which nights are open
- Closed Mondays? Not taking tabs on a home game? Those nights simply do not appear.
- You are the one selling
- You remain the seller of record for everything served at your bar. We book and we collect; we never pour a drink and we never hold your licence.
- No exclusivity
- List with us and keep doing everything you already do. We are not asking you to stop taking bookings any other way.
- No monthly fee
- We only make money when you do. If a night does not book, it costs you nothing.
What it costs
A percentage of what the group commits, and nothing else. These are our standard rates and they are negotiable — we would rather have you on at a number that works than not have you.
| What is booked | Our cut |
|---|---|
| Anything under $2,500 | 7.5% |
| $2,500 and above | 5% |
| Tabs and tables alike | Same rate either way |
No setup fee, no monthly fee, no charge for a night that does not book, and no charge on a booking you decline.
How you get paid
The group pays you, on the payment system you already run. We are never in the middle of it, so there is no payout to wait for.
- 1
A request lands
Nothing has been charged to anyone yet. You are looking at a group, a night and an amount, and you can decline it for free.
- 2
You approve, and paste your payment link
You raise the payment in Toast, Stripe, Square — whatever you already use — and paste the link. The group pays you there, before the night.
- 3
We invoice you at the end of the month
One invoice for our commission on the bookings you marked paid, itemised by group and night. Nothing is ever deducted, because we never held it.
Being straight with you: we never touch the money. Your customers pay you directly, on your own payment page, through whatever you already use — so there is no settlement day, no deposit held by us, and nothing of yours sitting in our account. We invoice you our commission monthly, after the fact. All of it will be written into your agreement in plain English before you sign anything.
What we need to get you live
Half an hour of your time, once. We build the rest.
- Your minimum spend for each night of the week
- What you add on top of a tab, as a percentage
- Which nights you are closed or will not take tabs
- Your sections and tables, and how many each holds
- One phone number that gets the text when a request lands
- How much notice you need before a booking
- Your cancellation terms
- The payment system you already use, so groups can pay you on it
The one that matters most is the phone number. A request nobody sees is a booking you lost.
The questions you are going to ask
Answered straight, including the ones where the answer is not flattering to us.
Do you hold my money?
No, and we never will under this model. Your customer pays you directly, through whatever payment system you already use. Nothing of yours passes through us or sits in our account. We invoice our commission monthly, afterwards.
What does it cost?
7.5% on bookings under $2,500, and 5% at $2,500 and above. Same for tabs and tables, same for every bar. It is invoiced monthly in arrears, never deducted, and where the maths lands on part of a cent we round down in your favour.
How do I actually get paid?
When you approve a booking you create a payment request for that amount in your own system — Toast, Stripe, Square, whatever you run — and paste the link. The group pays you there.
Being honest about the cost of that: it is about a minute of work per approval, in another tab, often mid-service. It is the part of this we most expect to hear complaints about.
Who is responsible if something goes wrong at the door?
You are. You hold the licence, you serve, and you check every ID exactly as you do now. We never sell or serve alcohol and we are not the seller of record for anything. We ask the purchaser to confirm they are 21 or over, but that is a statement they make — it is not identification and it does not replace your check.
Who handles refunds?
You do, on your terms, through your own payment provider. Since we never receive the money we could not refund it even if we wanted to, and we tell customers that plainly before they pay rather than after.
Do I have to give you exclusivity?
No. Take bookings any other way you like, including directly. We are not owed commission on anything that did not come through us, and either side can walk away with 30 days’ notice.
Who sets the prices?
You do. Your minimums, your nights, your areas, your tab windows, and your own late-booking fee if you want one. We do not approve, cap or review any of it. We may suggest; you decide.
What happens if I stop wanting to do this?
Tell us and we take you off the site. Bookings you already accepted still need honouring and commission already earned is still owed, but there is no lock-in beyond that. Ask and we will export your booking records for you.
The full terms are in the venue agreement.
Want to see it before you commit to anything?
We will walk you through the bar side in ten minutes, on your phone, using your own nights and your own prices. If you do not like it, nothing happens.
