Accessibility
We want anyone to be able to book a night out here. If you cannot, that is a bug, and we want to hear about it.
Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel
These terms are written and in force for the private preview, but a lawyer has not reviewed them yet. If anything here conflicts with what a bar tells you, ask us before you pay anyone.
1. What we aim for
We build towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard most commonly used to judge whether a website is usable by people with disabilities.
Practically, that means we work to keep:
- every action reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, with the focused item visibly marked;
- text and controls at a contrast level that stays readable;
- form fields properly labelled, and errors explained in words rather than by colour alone;
- animation reduced when your device asks us to;
- the booking flow usable on a phone, since that is where most people book.
2. What we have not done yet
We have not had this site independently audited, and we have not tested it end to end with a screen reader. We are telling you that rather than claiming a conformance level we have not measured.
Some parts are newer than others and have had less attention. If something here does not work for you, it is far more likely to be an oversight than a decision.
3. Tell us, and we will fix it
Email bookings@tablesntabs.com and describe what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you use — a screen reader, keyboard only, magnification, whatever it is. A person reads it.
We aim to reply within five business days. If something is blocking you from completing a booking, say so and we will help you complete it directly while we fix the underlying problem.
4. Things we do not control
When you pay, you leave our site for the bar's own payment page. We do not build or control that page, and we cannot fix accessibility problems on it. If you hit one, tell us anyway — we will raise it with the bar, and we will help you complete the booking another way.
The bars themselves — their doors, their spaces, their service — are theirs, not ours.
Questions about any of this? Email bookings@tablesntabs.com and a person will answer.
